1 - Diagnosis
We work alongside you and your team to measure your current carbon footprint to give us a starting point.
Your carbon footprint has multiple components: transport, electricity, cooling, waste (landfill), and fridge/freezer. We identify contributions from different sources and measure the total carbon footprint for the baseline year.
We have created standardised procedures compatible with international methodologies that allow us to measure your greenhouse gas emissions in a efficient and rapid way.

We then create a clear and practical plan to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions by as much as possible, and save you money while improving efficiency.
Climate Society will create a customised plan for use by your entire organisation to reduce your carbon emissions and save money in the process by increasing resources and energy efficiency. Once Climate Society has reduced your carbon footprint as much as we can, we’re able to provide a variety of ways to offset your unavoidable carbon emissions and thereby negating them. This means you’ll aim to reduce greenhouses gases in other areas by contributing to things like renewable energy, methane capture, and tree planting programs in developing countries. In this way you can achieve carbon neutral status and receive your Carbon Neutral Certification.

Climate-Resilient Organisations
Climate resilient organisations are those organisations that can act quickly to face new climate change threats; these organisations can maintain their activities under a changing environment and are prepared for future climate change impacts. We create Climate Change Adaption plans to help your organisation becoming a climate resilient organisation. An adaption plan will give your organisation a clear road map of the activities required to mitigate climate change impacts and develop new opportunities.
How to adapt to climate change
Devastating climate change impacts can be seen around the world. Droughts, unusual storms, heatwaves, new plagues and floods are some of the consequences that climate change is causing on our planet. Cities and the people who live in them will be particularly impacted; they will suffer more frequent, longer and more intense heat waves, damage to infrastructure, intensified inland flooding from heavy storms, frequent coastal flooding due to sea level rise, water scarcity and extended blackouts. These impacts will hamper the ability of organisations to continue with their business as usual activities.
It Starts with the first step
The first step on building the adaptation plan is to perform a Climate Change Risks Assessment to identify climate change hazards, vulnerabilities and risks. We follow the ISO 31000 Risk Management Framework on our risk identification and risk assessment activities. Once the risks have been identified and assessed, we develop the risk response strategy, which is the pillar to build the adaptation plan.
